Cookie Policy

What cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how to manage them.

Last updated: July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how AIXO EDU uses them on our website, and the choices available to you. Some cookies or browser storage technologies are used to provide website functionality, remember preferences, maintain website sessions, or support security. Third-party technologies may also be used when external services or embedded content are loaded.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can help a website maintain a session, remember a basket, protect forms, or retain selected preferences.

Similar technologies, including local storage, may also be used by your browser to remember display settings or consent choices. These technologies do not contain payment card details and are not used by AIXO EDU to store full payment information.

2. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies

AIXO EDU may use cookies and similar technologies for website sessions, preferences, accessibility features, payment-related functionality, external content, and basic website operation.

Website session cookie

Our website may create an essential session cookie when session-based functionality is used. The exact cookie name may vary depending on the website or hosting configuration and may commonly appear as PHPSESSID or another session identifier.

Cookie / Storage Name Purpose Duration
Website session cookie Maintains essential session-based functionality such as basket or checkout state, temporary website data, form security, and other session features. Normally for the current browser session or until the session expires.
aixo-edu-cookie-consent Remembers the option selected through the cookie banner so the banner does not need to be displayed repeatedly. Stored in your browser until cleared, reset, or changed.
aixo-edu-a11y-v2 Stores accessibility display preferences such as text size, high contrast, or reduced motion. Stored in your browser until cleared or reset.

Lightweight first-party analytics

We use lightweight first-party analytics to understand basic website visits, such as approximate visitor numbers and popular pages or products. This helps us improve the website without using a large third-party analytics platform.

Our lightweight analytics is processed on the website server and does not set a dedicated analytics cookie or analytics local storage entry in your browser.

The analytics system does not store raw IP addresses, raw User-Agent strings, or referral data. Request information may be used temporarily to create a privacy-preserving visitor hash, but the raw IP address and raw User-Agent are not stored in the analytics database.

Where trusted hosting or proxy headers provide general country-level information, we may record an approximate country code. If this information is not available, visits may be counted as “Unknown”.

3. Third-Party Services

Stripe payments

Our payment processing is handled securely by our payment processor, currently Stripe. When you proceed to a Stripe-hosted payment screen, Stripe may use its own cookies or similar technologies for payment processing, fraud prevention, security, and service operation.

These technologies are controlled by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s own privacy and cookie practices. AIXO EDU does not store full payment card details on its website.

Embedded YouTube, Vimeo, and TikTok content

Some product or content pages may include embedded videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or TikTok. When an embedded player loads, the relevant provider may receive technical information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser or device information, the page containing the video, and information about your interaction with the player.

This processing may begin when the embedded player loads, even if you do not press play.

YouTube/Google, Vimeo, and TikTok may use cookies or similar technologies for purposes such as delivering the video player, maintaining security, remembering preferences, measuring usage, personalisation, or advertising in accordance with their own policies.

These third-party cookies and technologies are controlled by the relevant provider, not by AIXO EDU. Browser privacy settings, content-blocking tools, or third-party cookie restrictions may prevent embedded videos from displaying or playing.

For more information, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy, Vimeo's Privacy Policy, and TikTok's Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts and externally loaded resources

Where our website loads fonts or other resources from Google or another external provider, that provider may receive limited technical request information from your browser, such as your IP address, browser details, and the requested resource.

Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for information about how Google handles data relating to its services.

4. Managing Cookies and Browser Storage

You can control or manage cookies and similar technologies in several ways:

Disabling or clearing cookies and browser storage may affect website functionality. For example, your basket, session, accessibility settings, or cookie banner preference may be lost.

Blocking external resources or third-party technologies may also prevent embedded videos, fonts, payment-related functionality, or other externally provided features from working correctly.

5. Advertising and Remarketing

AIXO EDU does not use its own advertising cookies or tracking cookies for remarketing purposes.

Third-party embedded content providers may process information for their own service, measurement, personalisation, or advertising purposes when their content is loaded. Such processing is controlled by the relevant third-party provider and is subject to its own privacy and cookie policies.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our website, services, external providers, or technical functionality. Changes will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
